Can I use a premium Shopify theme without purchasing it from the official Shopify store and downloading it from somewhere else? Will than can hamper my store in future or can I face legal issues in future?

Official Shopify Theme should be Null very carefully. ​

Official themes have their own ID, and there is also a check of parts of the theme code.
Shopify also checks whether any theme has been purchased on your account.
If you have never bought an official theme, then Shopify will detect a hacked theme, but it is not known how long it will take.

There are examples of people working for a year and then Shopify sends them a warning that they need to buy a license. And some people get a warning from Shopify after 3 weeks.

You can use cracked versions only from third-party developers and this crack must work without the servers of these developers.​

Is this for sure that nulled themes store will get notice from Shopify or in some cases they also don't get notice? even after years of using it

yeah i don't know : i tried a bunch of themes but always the licence issues

I never really got licence issues, also if the site is behind CloudFlare then putting on the bot blocker should stop the theme detection system that shopify sometimes uses.

Don't use them, my big store got banned and freezed
