The ‘gold coast theme parks' of Queensland, Australia, are a group of 12 major attractions which are operated by the Gold Coast City Council within the Gold Coast, or alternatively, within the neighbouring suburb of Tweed Heads. The parks at White Water World, the Movie World, the Aquatica and the Adventure Cove form the southern part of the Gold coast. The Wet'n'Wild and Funworlds and other major parts of the Gold Coast are located to the north. The Gold Coast Aquatic centre is located in the north and north east, and Pirate Golf is located nearby in the north west, both parks are run by Gold Coast City Council. Nearby are the smaller water theme parks, Sea World and Aquatica, and other smaller parks such as Skyworld and Movie World Village.
