To install a subscription plugin on your WordPress site, follow these steps:

Step 1: Choose a Subscription Plugin

  • WooCommerce Subscriptions
  • MemberPress
  • Paid Memberships Pro
  • WP Simple Pay
  • Restrict Content Pro

Step 2: Install the Plugin

Method 1: Using the WordPress Dashboard

  1. Log into your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Plugins > Add New.
  3. Search for the subscription plugin you want to install in the search bar.
  4. Click "Install Now" next to the plugin you want to install.
  5. After installation, click "Activate" to activate the plugin.

Method 2: Uploading the Plugin ZIP File

Step 3: Configure the Plugin

  1. Navigate to the plugin’s settings page. This is usually found under a new menu item added to your dashboard after activation.
  2. Follow the setup wizard or configuration instructions provided by the plugin.
  3. Set up your subscription plans, payment gateways, and other options according to your needs.

Step 4: Create Subscription Products or Plans

  1. Add new subscription products or plansas required by your plugin.
    • For WooCommerce Subscriptions, create new subscription products.
    • For membership plugins like MemberPress, set up new membership levels.
  2. Configure pricing, billing intervals, trial periods, and other options for each subscription.

Step 5: Test Your Setup

  1. Test the subscription process by signing up for a subscription using a test account.
  2. Verify that payments are processed correctly and that subscribers have access to the content or benefits promised.

Example: Installing and Setting Up WooCommerce Subscriptions

  1. Install WooCommerce (if not already installed).
    • Navigate to Plugins > Add New.
    • Search for WooCommerce.
