Is Joomla the Best for a Large Website?

I want to build a large website, should I use Joomla or better switch to something else? I am using joomla now for some years, but templates are rare compared to wordpress. Also I heard that perfomance of the website might be slower. Anyone having experience with a large website?

What is a big website? Joomla is good. If you can handle Joomla, then definitely Joomla

Hello. I have some experience and if you are talking about really big site (I mean over 100 000 products) it is very good. It is complex but has a lot of extensions, it is fast. But making website on it is also complex and taking a lot of time. It is not install and use like wordpress. Also magento is the same. And if you want you can compare it with magento because it is also very good for large webistes.
