My website's response time is so slow.

I am using Apache Http server on my VDS (6 Core CPU, 18 GB RAM) and i took 1500ms initial response time. Is that normal? And what i supposed to do for reduce response time.

might not be the server, might be the data link from you to the server.

You can reduce the size of the pictures too, it might be usefull
