It's simpler to work with Open Cart on a larger shop.

woocommerce based on wordpress. opencart is faster but development is harder. woocommerce will be hacked easier.

Why should I go with woocommerce instead of Opencart?
OpenCart is often considered a good option for small sellers for several reasons:

  1. Ease of Use: OpenCart has a user-friendly interface, making it easy for small sellers, who may not have extensive technical knowledge, to set up and manage their online store.
  2. Cost-effectiveness: OpenCart is open-source software, meaning it's free to download and use. This can be particularly attractive for small sellers who may have limited budgets for website development.
  3. Customization: While being user-friendly, OpenCart also offers a range of customization options. Small sellers can tailor their online store to suit their branding and business needs without needing advanced coding skills.
  4. Community Support: OpenCart has a large community of users and developers who contribute plugins, extensions, and themes. This means small sellers have access to a variety of resources to enhance their store's functionality without having to develop everything from scratch.
  5. Scalability: While OpenCart is suitable for small sellers, it also has the capacity to scale as their business grows. Sellers can add more products, expand their customer base, and integrate additional features as needed.
  6. SEO-friendly: OpenCart is designed with search engine optimization (SEO) in mind, helping small sellers improve their online visibility and attract more customers through search engines like Google.
  7. Regular Updates: The platform is actively maintained and updated, ensuring that small sellers have access to the latest features, security patches, and improvements.

wordpress is a blog. opencart is a shopping system. If wordpress is a bee and openchart is a big charter ship.

What I said is valid if you want to create a reliable shopping system. If you are going to sell 5-10 different products, there is no harm in using Woocommerce. If you want to display hundreds of products and want a reliable system, of course opencart.

I think opencart is better and stable like woocommerce, but on woocommerce you will find a lot of free plugins.
