    There is a button for compressing/converting theme images. I have not tried it, so I don't know how it works. It looks like you convert all theme-images on the fly, so you cant choose which images to compress. Personally I compress images from theme and modules by hand, so I can see the result...

    I'm quite novice regarding AMP. A fast site is important, but if the site is so unattractive that you lose sale it will not benefit you. But I guess I sould look into this as well, to see whats possible and what you can achieve with an AMP-page.
