I've been using Flex since 2019. This is the best template for Joomla.
Do you have Flex Quickstart 4.0 or Flex Virtuemart 4.0? The latter is better.
I've been using Flex Multi-Purpose Joomla Template since 2019, but after Flex 3.9.9, the manufacturer hasn't updated for 2 years. Even those who bought the template complained about it. Fortunately, the manufacturer envato eliminated this problem by releasing Flex 4.0 on 27.03.2024. Now I have installed Flex 4.0 on my website Joomla 5.0.3 and everything works fine. But when I did the Joomla 5.1.0 update, 4 files were overridden in the template:
/html/com_content/category/blog.php
/html/com_content/article/default.php
/html/mod_breadcrumbs/default.php
/html/layouts/joomla/content/options_default.php
You will see again in "Notifications" that these files have been overridden.
Also
/html/layouts/joomla/content/categories_default_items.php
the original file has been removed.
Other than these, all other files in the template appear intact.
My understanding is that you need to buy Flex 4.0 so that you can use the updates on your website. But even if you buy Flex 4.0 you will still have the same problem as with Flex 3.9.9.
By the way, I also updated Flex 3.9.9 on my previous website with flex_4.0_template_only.zip and the result was bad (the index file disappeared). Don't try this method, do a clean install directly with Flex Quickstart 4.0!
Don't forget to update SP Page Builder 5.2.9 to 5.3.2 when updating from Joomla 5.0.3 to 5.1.0 on your Flex 4.0 template!
