Back in Stock Notification addon allows the customer to sign up for a back in the stock email alert. As soon as the product will be restocked the waiting customers are emailed automatically to bring them back to your store so that they can complete their purchase.

Admin can configure the look and feel of the Back in Stock block from the backend of the module
Admin can customize the Back in Stock notification email
Use the Back in Stock report section to see what items customers want to buy

This feature does not exist in Prestashop!!!
You must be confused with Mail Alert (notification to the ADMIN).
This is for the CUSTOMER ("Notify me when available")

I have already used it for several customers .. that's why I don't understand this module utility ; )

p.s : mail alert module is not only for admins
