How can I upgrade Prestashop v1.6 to v1.7 without losing modifications?

Hello friends!

I'm thinking to upgrade my current PrestaShop v1.6 to v1.7, but I have lots of customizations and modifications on the website, and I afraid that all the customizations and modifications will be lost after upgrading, so I want to know if there is a way to upgrade without losing them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

y mean modif in the prestashop main files, not only modules & theme ?

Yes, the Prestashop core files are modified.
