I’ve been running an OpenCart store for a while now, and I’m becoming more concerned about security. Are there any recommended extensions or best practices to protect my store from threats like hacking, data breaches, or spam?

I’m particularly interested in:

• Extensions for malware scanning or firewall protection.
• Tools to prevent spam in contact forms and reviews.
• Secure payment options or fraud prevention tools.

I tried a few extensions but never found any to be good.
I now use IP restriction in the admin .htaccess file, and I use google captcha to stop spam in contact forms, returns, and reviews.

.htaccess won't work if you run OC under nginx. In this case you need to make some restrictions inside nginx's config file.
