Please share version 7.0.2 because I couldn't find it in this forum. With 7.0.3 from 1.6.24 -> 8.1 presta does not import categories picture, i.e. imports only part, does not import png which are named jpg. Rename still imports incorrectly.

Same thnig, I tested all possibilities, the only thing you can do is to copy old images with ftp to new installation (they are the same) then regenerate images...
