Cookies that are exempt from obligatory consent
There are cookies that are exempt from the consent requirement and do not need to be deactivated before consent. In particular:
- Technical cookies, or rather, those that are strictly necessary for the provision of the service. These include preference cookies, session cookies, load balancing, etc. Such cookies are standard in the case of PrestaShop.
- Statistical cookies managed directly by the owner, (unless users are profiled) include server-side statistics such as AWstats and Webalizer, as well as the internal statistics of PrestaShop.
- Third party statistical cookies (eg: Google Analytics) are used if the data is anonymised before being saved by the third party service, and if the third party undertakes not to "cross" the information collected with other data in its possession. You can configure Google Analytics for this purpose (there are excellent official guides available).
