V1.6 Prestashop SEO International Targeting & No Duplicate Content Module

This module allows to optimize your multilingual store for search engines. It helps search crawlers correctly recognize the store pages, translated to different languages.

1. SEO International Targeting

This module adapt your PrestaShop store internationally targeting to optimize your SEO abroad by adding the meta tag "Hreflang" in the header of your site, which will detect all the language versions, to boost your ranking in Foreign country with the products pages, category pages & content pages .

2. No Duplicate Content

The meta tag "Hreflang" will detect all the language versions of a given product page (and many other type of pages) and tells Google that all the language versions of that page are the same page in different languages; and not different pages with the same contents in it.

A pratical example:

let's say we are on a page: http://www.example.com/it/content/4-chi-siamo

With the meta tag "Hreflang" in the head of the page, these links will be created (of course all the links exists):

link rel="alternate" hreflang="it" href="http://www.example.com/it/content/4-chi-siamo"
link rel="alternate" hreflang="en-us" href="http://www.example.com/en/content/4-about-us"
link rel="alternate" hreflang="en-au" href="http://www.example.com/au/content/4-about-us"
link rel="alternate" hreflang="en-ca" href="http://www.example.com/ca/content/4-about-us"
link rel="alternate" hreflang="en-gb" href="http://www.example.com/gb/content/4-about-us"

Here we are, no more duplicate contents on all those "en" pages!

Just install the module like any other module on Prestashop, activate it, and you are done, no settings needed.

Initially, the module was developped in 2015 by Julien for Prestashop 1.6, but unfortunately, there is no demo for this module, because is coming from the Prestashop French Forum, but I just upload pictures in the description above, so you can "see" what's the module does.
