Thanks for sharing. This is really a very powerfull module for Joomla 3.
I've been using it since many years, and I can say (in particular) in the past it was quite mandatory to be able to manage properly the website URLs.
It also offers mny SEO features for metadata management (titles, meta descriptions, ecc..) error pages and redirects.
Now the Joomla core offers some un theese features by default, but for J3 I think this is still better: simpler and more accurate than the standard.

I will be testing the procedure to migrate from sh404SEF to 4SEF beta (https://www.nulledfrm.com/threads/4sef-1-0-5-306-sef-urls-creation-and-customization.72174/), moving from Joomla 3 to Joomla 4.
I can share my feedbacks, if somebody is intrested. In case, just let me know!

Hi, I have migrated from J3 to J4 successfully. The 4SEF worked for me ok.
I just had to unpublish a lot of potentially incompatible in J3 before upgrade and then upgrading them with J4 compatible or just publish them one by one.

thank you for your feedback!
I made a first attemp locally (with XAMPP) to become familiar with the procedure.
Same think for the plugins: I had to disable many ones, which appeared as non compliant, based on the default pre-update checks.
However, I did it before trying 4SEF, because I believed the Joomla 4 right module to replace it would be 4SEO, but as soon as I installed it, I understood it is not the right one for URLs management.
So i finally found 4SEF - even if it is still in Beta version - and I want to try again the migration procedure.
I think the last versione of sh404SEF could be better optimized for the migration to 4SEF; this is why I was looking for it.
Anyway, I'm going to work to this task on next week, so I will share aslo my feedbacks.

The new version of 4SEO contains an import from sh404SEF option. It will import the URLS and Meta etc
