Well, here’s the thing: you grow potatoes to make money, but others come and simply steal them without paying anything. Your hard work goes unrewarded, while others fill their bellies for free and might even sell those potatoes to others. It’s that simple.
However, when it comes to stolen or pirated scripts, there’s always the risk that the code has been altered, and malicious code has been added. Then, later on, you wonder why your website got hacked and start looking for someone to blame. But the real culprit is you because you thought you were saving money at the expense of others.

Oh yes, I almost forgot: all the scripts I've downloaded from here, I've only used in a local test environment to see if the script meets my needs. If everything works fine, I have always purchased it directly from the developer.
