Wordpress will be around for a very long while, just probably not as an ecommerce solution because woocommerce is too laggy and complex to deal with.

WooCommerce is good for small things, other than that it is a hassle!

Wordpress is good, but Woocommerce is a real shit. When i have to create a shopping website I prefer to use shopify

No its not dead but its been neglected. Shopiy is like an Iphone, easy to use for dumb people without any tech knowledge.

Wheres on WP you can customise and do as much stuff you want without any monthly payments.

WordPress is a standard nowadays. That's something it has earned over time.

And today its market share continues to rise despite the fact that its technology is more than 18 years old.

As long as WP has such an enthusiastic community, this CMS will continue to enjoy good health.

I have no doubt that the future is SaaS. Shopify or Webflow are examples of this.

Why do I believe this? Because the web tends to become more and more democratised, to be simpler and to reach everyone.

The problem today with services like Webflow is that it has a major barrier to entry in price. It is difficult to justify its monthly fee for someone who does not do business or has a low profitability.

Over time we will tend to see these services become more attractive to all consumers.
